Something I Just Realized
During this five years in skipped in Young Justice, Mera had her baby. Which could mean
A.(Best option) Aquababy is playing happily with Rocket’s kid and Lian.
B. (Worst option) Black Manta killed him at some point during these five years like he did in the comics.
I really hope the second is not true, but it would explain Kaldur going bad. This just made me sad.
DniteGirl: For those of you mad that they seem to be skipping Jason in the line of Robins in Young Justice
Jason was NEVER a popular Robin. DC didn’t just kill him in the first place on a whim. Practically no one liked him. His death was put up to a vote, which all of you should know the results. His run as a Robin had many fans even questioning if the position of Robin should even exist after Jason… I’m sorry for being that guy, but Jason has a very special place in my heart. He’s the reason I started reading comics. First I would like to point out that the vote in A Death in the Family was very close. 5,343 votes for Jason to die over 5,271 for him to live. That’s only a 1.36% difference. So even though the people at DC were really setting the story up for Jason’s death, a lot of people wanted him to live. Second, I have a bit of a problem with the way you describe him. Vengeful, sure, willing to go further than Batman in terms of how he deals with enemies, yeah, blood thirsty, no. He kills those who he think deserve it, but the word blood thirsty seems like he’s looking for people to kill, and that’s not ( a well written) Jason. Also, I’m not sure how old you are, but can you really assume that Jason was not well liked while he was Robin? I wasn’t alive then, but I have read Jason’s run as Robin and I’ve enjoyed it. I know a lot of other people who enjoyed it. Again, I wasn’t alive so I can’t be sure, but it seems like a lot of the idea that Jason was never a good Robin or a liked Robin, came after he was killed off. I know there are a lot of people that believe this is the case, especially since there is a lot of evidence that a lot of people calling in for Jason’s death did not even know the Robin wasn’t even Dick Grayson anymore. You are right that the second Robin in Batman The Animated Series had a lot of elements of Jason’s back story and personality, but it was still Tim. Because of this, Tim became the better know Robin. Even my roommate, who does not and never has read comics, has said she prefers Tim because he was the Robin she grew up with. I’m not mad with Tim being Robin in Young Justice. I just don’t want them to completely look over Jason’s time as Robin again. Even if it is Tim, just mentioning that there was another Robin before him, would make me happy. Jason’s past and his morals when it comes to dealing with injustice are really interesting and I hope that we will not miss out on some really interesting possibilities he could have in the story. I’m sorry for the rant. I understand that Tim is probably the Robin closest to your heart and that’s why you want him in Young Justice, but us Jason fans have had to put up with a lot of hate, and finally getting him portrayed well in a popular show would help people understand him better. He’s more than just the Robin who died then came back, and we want more people to realize this.

Good Day for Jason Feels
Just finished rereading Under the Red Hood after ordering it from Amazon. I had a gift card and I decided I should buy it instead of just borrowing it from the library twenty more times.
This book is just so special to me. Its the first (American) comic book I ever read and now I’m an avid reader. Its been almost a year since that faithful day I decided to check it out after watching the movie. I feel like my Jason collection is a little more complete, since I already had Lost Days and A Death in the Family. I’m so happy.
